Instructions for using the Database:

How to use the BEAR Undergraduate Research Database:

Start by searching the Database by entering simple Key Words that concisely describe topics that might be interested in learning more about. Your search will return matches to three different types of information:

  1. Research Projects that Faculty have posted
  2. Faculty Research Interests contained in their Profiles
  3. Past Thesis projects for SMBHC Alumni

The Posted Research Projects are the most valuable, as they tell you about Faculty projects that are in need of undergraduate students. Matches to Research Interests in the Faculty Profiles can tell you about which faculty would have the expertise to advise a project you may be interested in. The Past Thesis research can tell you about who advised similar projects, and can give you an idea of who you may need to contact.

You can also Browse Faculty Profiles by Department, and Browse Past Honors Thesis projects by Department, Year, and College.
