Research Description: I advise students on topics concerning economic change in Europe or in a comparative prospective, global value chains research, political change in Europe (Europeanization). typically, working with me involves: 1. weekly meetings in a seminar style environment 2. a strong preference for qualitative research, possibly involving semi- structured interviews (or at least text analysis using primary sources) 3. a theme that is international or comparative in nature 4. i encourage inquiries from students who have already taken classes from me. The advisee/advisor relationship is a very delicate one, and it is important that the advisee and advisor can work together as a team
