Research Description: David W. Bath is a Visiting Assistant Professor of Intelligence and Security Studies. Dr. Bath received his Ph.D. from Texas A&M University in 2015 after completing twenty years of service with the United States Air Force. He previously earned a Masters of Science in Strategic Intelligence from the National Intelligence University and a Masters of Arts in History from the Unversity of North Dakota. Dr. Bath joined the University of Mississippi in 2016. During his military career, he authored over fifty classified articles published in Defense Intelligence Agency publications and helped author seven National Intelligence Estimates, including one as the primary author. He is currently completing a book on the incorporation of nuclear missiles into the U.S. Air Force for the Naval Institute Press titled "Apogee: The Rise and Fall of Nuclear Missiles in the U.S. Air Force." Dr. Bath teaches courses on intelligence and national security.
