Research Description: Dr. McCaffrey is responsible for teaching the Social and Behavioral Aspects of Pharmacy Practice course in the professional pharmacy curriculum as well as electives in patient medication consumption behaviors and marketing for pharmacists. At the graduate level, his responsibilities have centered on research methodology and he currently is responsible for Primary Data Techniques. Dr. McCaffrey enjoys a wide-range of research interests. Among those are: medication consumption patterns and the creation of realistic pharmacist-centered interventions to improve the consumption patterns of patients, direct-to-consumer advertising of prescription medications, service failure, complaint and recovery in distributive pharmacy practice, and the role of pharmacists in Pharmacy and Therapeutic Committees.
