Research Description: Professor Becker is writing a monograph considering the political and economic systems of ancient Etruria. T Professor Becker's interest in how things work also extends to her work on the ancient pigment industry in Rome and the trade in pigments. Professor Becker is a principal investigator at the Area Sacra di S. Omobono in Rome, a site of the oldest surviving sanctuary in ancient Rome. Professor Becker also works with the 2,000 Greek and Roman objects in the Robinson Collection at the University Museum.
