Research Description: My general research interests are in cognitive neuroscience. Specifically, I am interested in the interrelationship of developmental stuttering and bilingualism and their combined impact on brain structure and brain function. My current research examines (a) brain reserve and cognitive reserve and (b) motor control and cognitive control in monolingual/bilingual people who stutter and non-stuttering controls. Methodologically, I use a combination of behavioural (e.g., Flanker task, Simon effect) and neuroimaging measures. The neuroimaging measures include structural, functional, and resting-state MRI.
