Available Research Projects:
Exercise and Memory Function
Project Description: In our Exercise & Memory Laboratory, we are investigating the effects and mechanisms of exercise on various types of memory function.
Desired Student Qualifications: Hard worker; good writer; organized; verbally articulate
Project Timeline: 3 semesters - data collection during the first two semesters and manuscript writing/defense preparation during the third semester.
Duties of Student Researcher: Collect data over 2 full semester (~10-15 hrs/week), which will involve administering an exercise test on a treadmill followed by the administration of several memory-based assessments. After data collection, the student will spend the third semester analyzing the results, writing up the findings to be submitted for publication, and preparing for the thesis defense.
