Research Description: Rhona Justice-Malloy is the Editor of Theatre History Studies. She is a past president of the Mid-America Theatre Conference. She is a member of the Board of Trustees of the National Theatre Conference and serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the City Attic Theatre in New York, New York. She has served as co-producer, director, and Equity Guest Artist at the Highlands Playhouse in Highlands, North Carolina. Dr. Malloy has published essays in several national and international works on a variety of subjects, including August Wilson, Beth Henley, Alfred Jarry, Costume and Dance, Greek Theatre, Girls' Culture, Performance and Medicine, Arpad Goncz, the portrayal of mothers and daughters onstage, and Ping Chong and Company's "Secret Histories/Undesirable Elements." She is co-editor of a collection of essays about performance studies and living history published by the University of Alabama Press in 2010. She has presented her scholarly work at conferences in Greece, Italy, Spain, Poland, Belgium, and England. She is a member of Actors' Equity Association, Screen Actors' Guild, and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Her directing credits include Pal Joey, TopDog/Underdog, The Maids, Fences, How I Learned to Drive, The Trojan Women, The Pirates of Penzance, Die Fledermaus, Much Ado About Nothing, Well, and Blues for an Alabama Sky. She is the Audition Co-chair of the Mississippi Theatre Association and a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
