Research Description: Dr. Allen has published in the areas of social work license examination, social justice and public policy, teaching effectiveness, cognitive complexity, self-efficacy, and clinical supervision.. Her research interests include critical thinking, teaching effectiveness, child and community welfare, cognitive complexity, and clinical supervision. Dr. Allen was is the President of the Mississippi chapter of the National Association of Social Workers. She teaches graduate courses in human behavior and the social environment, practice with communities and organizations, advanced clinical practice with groups, and traumatic stress and crisis intervention.
